We tried to be as lazy as possible today. I woke up at 6:00 and couldn't sleep. Then I couldn't turn my brain off, so I laid there thinking about the stuff I am behind on and worrying about starting a new business while I'm slammed with this current business. I finally calmed myself down around 7:30 and fell back asleep. Kaylee woke up around 9:00 and went downstairs and took her meds. Tabatha came into my room and we talked a few minutes and when she went downstairs, I fell back asleep and slept another hour.
Dad made sausage and Tabatha made scrambled eggs for breakfast. They were almost finished eating by the time I made it downstairs. We all ate out on the deck and just enjoyed being outside. When we all came back inside, Kaylee went upstairs and cleaned in her room and her closet. Tabatha and I went upstairs and hung out. Tabatha started tickling me in our room, so when Kaylee heard me laughing so hard, she came in to help out. I wish I wasn't so ticklish but I am. And they both love that.
We went downstairs for lunch. Kaylee had Spaghetti-Os and the rest of us just found our own meals and ate. Conner made a Ramen Noodle bowl that he spiced up and he sat outside on the deck with Mom. Kaylee and Tabatha watched TV in the living room and I worked on a project. Tabatha had to go to Walmart, so she waited until Kaylee was ready for her nap. Kaylee laid down upstairs and I worked on paperwork for my design business. I'm trying to reconcile everything for 2023 so I can file those taxes. I've already finished the winery's paperwork. I wish I would file all of this without extensions, but I just can't get to it. I'm ahead of last year at least.
Mom and Dad went to the Filpi's to have dinner and hang out with them, and Conner went to the Belcher's because Kenzie got back from the beach this afternoon and they haven't seen each other since Thursday. Thomas came over this evening after Kaylee woke up. Kaylee made cheesecake for dessert and Tabatha got everything ready to make pizzas. We used the Ooni Pizza oven with a new dough that Tabatha bought. There's a learning curve with that, so it didn't go smoothly but they tasted good. Thomas helped us with the pizzas and I baked them outside. It was a complete team effort.
We ate dinner on the deck and talked. Then we had dessert. Thomas and I cleaned off the table and brought everything in while Tabatha and Kaylee washed up. Then we went to the winery. We had an order come in this weekend to ship on Monday and then another order came in for four cases, so we needed to pack the wines to ship and label the other wines. Thomas and Kaylee rode in his truck and Tabatha and I went in the car. Thomas helped us label and then headed home from there. He said he never thought he'd be on a date with someone at a winery labeling bottles of wine. We headed back to the house and just chilled out this evening. Everybody was in bed by Midnight, well, except me, and we are all ready for a new work week.
