Journal

Kaylee went downstairs and took her meds this morning. I was a little tired this morning because I didn't go to bed until a little after 4:00 and then got up at 8:00 to work on a project due today. I heard Kaylee wake up and then she FaceTimed me. Tabatha and Kaylee had Breakfast Essentials and then Kaylee got in the shower. Tabatha had a doctor's appointment in Mount Airy today, so Kaylee and I rode down with her.

Tabatha's appointment was at 11:00, so we needed to leave by 10:15. I left at 10:00 and drove to my office. I carried my laptop in and set things up and waited for the girls to come get me. When they got there, I drove us to Mount Airy. We went in with Tabatha and waited with her. When she was done, we went to Hobby Lobby to get some stuff for the winery. I actually stayed in the van answering emails.

When they were done, we drove to Chili's and had lunch. It was 39 days ago that Kaylee had a seizure in a Chili's, but it was in Winston Salem. I couldn't help but think about it when we went over there and walked in. I'm so glad Kaylee didn't dwell on it. She picked Chili's. I remember in that first year of her seizures, whatever she was doing when one hit, she wouldn't do it again for months. Watching TV, eating dinner at the kitchen table, and several other things. Back then though, we were still trying to learn about epilepsy. Now she knows those things didn't cause it. She is precautious, but she is trying not to let stuff completely stop her.

We had an appetizer and then had the main meal and had a good lunch. We drove over to Aldi after that and did some shopping. One thing I have noticed at the Aldi in Martinsville and the one in Mount Airy is that they are both freezing! I'm pretty warm natured, but I was so glad to get done and back outside to thaw out. We then stopped in at Chick-fil-A so Tabatha could get some ice cream. They even ran into Lindsey Alley and Amanda Holt while they were inside. They weren't expecting to run into friends. Then we headed back to the office. I didn't think Kaylee was going to stay awake, but she did.

The girls dropped me off at the office and they headed home. Kaylee slept just over an hour during her nap. For dinner, Tabatha made spaghetti and salads and Kaylee helped her. Thomas came over right before dinner was finished. It was just us four because Mom and went up on the mountain to her old home place and Dad and Conner had taken the boat to the lake this evening.

When Mom came home, she had brought some roses from her old home and she and Tabatha replanted them here at the house. Hopefully they do fine. Kaylee and Thomas hung out in the living room. When Conner and Dad got home, they told us about their evening on the lake. Afterwards, Kaylee and Thomas went up to her room and watched a movie. He left for home a little after 11:00 and Tabatha and Kaylee started getting ready for bed. They turned their light out at 12:15.
