Kaylee woke up at 8:00, but she did go back to sleep and slept until around 9:00. Tabatha was already up and I was reading emails. She got her stuff and headed downstairs. She took her meds and then fixed a Breakfast Essential. We got to see Conner for a few minutes as he was getting ready to leave to go mow. We then started getting ready because we were going to Blacksburg today for a ceremony for a friend of ours.

Tabatha had to run to the high school and get the lights set up and some other things for a dance recital happening there in the auditorium this weekend. Kaylee and I got ready and then drove to my office. I had a Dr. Pepper and a pack of crackers for breakfast on the way to Stuart. I've been doing really good and not doing that often, but I did today. When Tabatha was finished at school, she came to the office and we left for Blacksburg a little after 10:30.

We drove to the drillfield on the Virginia Tech campus and saw the group at the Pylons. Our friend, James, has been promoted to Commander in the Navy. Even though they are in New Orleans right now, they wanted to have the ceremony on campus because they are both Virginia Tech graduates, plus it was closer to their families. Tabatha worked with James's wife, Angela, when she worked on campus at Tech. James announced during the ceremony that they got their new orders and will be stationed in Korea next year. While we were there, we also got to see Helene and Cindy who worked in the office Tabatha worked at on campus. They knew Kaylee, but when she was really little because Tabatha has been gone from VT for 15 years or so.

We hung out with James and Angela and his family a little while afterwards and then we rode around campus. I love getting back up there. When it was time for Kaylee's nap, we went to our friend's place in town. I texted James and he said no one was up this weekend, so feel free to stay over there. I knew Kaylee was ready for a nap because she was really dragging and you could hear it in her speech. She was worn out. And she slept for just over two hours! Tabatha and I were talking about whether we needed to go wake her up when she texted us.

We left from there and stopped in Christiansburg and ate at Panda Express. I really liked my meal, but Kaylee's was not clicking with her, so we went over to Chick-fil-A after we finished and got her nuggets. We also stopped at Cold Stone Creamery and got some ice cream for the road. You get fortune cookies with your meal at Panda Express, so we opened them before we left. They weren't really fortunes, but Kaylee's said "You will be released from the burden of your past."

We drove back to Stuart and went to the high school to turn the lights off in the auditorium and got it ready for tomorrow. They will also need an hdmi adapter because the people putting the show on tomorrow has a Mac, so I am sending one of my adapters up in the morning so they can use it. We left there and went to Walmart. Thomas was there, so Kaylee walked around with him for a bit. We tried not to hover, but I can't be far away in the evenings. We got to see several friends while we were in there. In fact, it was almost 11:00 by the time we got home. Even with the two hour nap, Kaylee still turned her light off by Midnight.
