We had to leave this morning before Kaylee woke up. It always makes the day feel weird when I don't get to hug her to start the day off. Conner got home about 8:20 this morning from being out with the guys last night. I think he had slept about three hours at that point. We got on the road about 8:45 once he got ready.
Kaylee woke up at 9:00 and went downstairs for her meds. She got dressed and had a Breakfast Essential. Tabatha helped her paint her toenails and take her hair out of the braids she had them in yesterday so her hair would be curly today. Thomas came over and picked her up about 10:00 to go to church with him. When church was over, they visited with people and then went to Thomas's house. They hung out there until Thomas, his Mom, and Kaylee went to Walmart to meet up with Tabatha and Mom.
Dad, Conner, and I made it to Canton, NC around 12:30 and went to the screen print shop that was selling equipment. We checked it out and everything looked really good, so I bought it. I am officially on the way to starting a screen print shop. The next step for us was to take the dryer and the press apart and get them loaded on the truck. It rained a couple of times on the way down, so we wrapped everything in tarps, but it didn't rain on the way back. We grabbed lunch at Arby's about 3:00 and ate on the road home.
While Kaylee was at Walmart, she got to see her friend Emily Horton. They graduated high school together, and Emily's Mom graduated high school with Tabatha. I think Emily's younger brother graduated with Conner. Small towns! Mom, Tabatha, and Kaylee grabbed food from the Walmart Deli and took it home to eat lunch. Kaylee watched some TV and then did a word search before going upstairs for her nap. She slept about an hour and 10 minutes. When she came downstairs, it was just her and Tabatha at the house because Mom drove over to the winery to get us after we got back there to unload.
Tabatha fixed steaks, baked potatoes, and salads for Father's Day dinner. I am glad we made it back in time to spend time together on this day. It was also fun to spend the day on an adventure with Dad and Conner checking out equipment. The six of us ate out on the deck and enjoyed the evening. Thomas came over and ate, even though we were already finished. We waited on him for dessert though.
Thomas stayed for a little while and then headed home to get ready for the upcoming work week. Dad and I opened our Father's Day cards from the family and then we all just hung out. It was a very nice day and I'm so glad I got to spend it with the family. Even if seven hours of it was in a truck. It was a fun and productive adventure. I'm such a lucky person to be part of my family.
