My “Easter Bunny” went off to the shop,
He bought me an egg and lots of chocs
And packed them into a cardboard box.
Then he wrapped it with paper and shiny string
It really was such a pretty thing.
Disaster struck when I opened the door-
He slid across the parquet floor,
He went round the corner and past the stairs
And finished up in a pile of chairs.
Of the Easter goodies not a trace,
he’d thrown them into my fireplace!
So a warning before you go opening doors
Make sure your “Bunny” has non-slip paws!

Hello, i was watching a couple of new records being set at the Olympics today, so thought i would look up some slightly stranger ones instead of some jokes.

Here's a couple;

Most spoons balanced on the face
Tim Johnston (USA) (b. 1 January 1992), was able to balance on his face (one on each ear, two on each cheek, three on his chin, two on his lips, one on his nose and three on his forehead) and balance them for 30 seconds at on May 28, 2004.


British pub landlord Garry Turner clipped 153 ordinary wooden clothes pegs on his face at the WH Smith bookshop in York, Yorkshire, UK, on September 28, 2002

Hey Sam and Sara, I had Ivy check out when the last time she helped me enter into your guestbook and it has been way to long. We have a list and sometimes start at the top and other times at the bottom and it would seem each time we miss a friend in the middle, which is where you are. We are gonna move you so you can not get skipped as much. We are so glad to have a friend who is remission and having a good time. We are the same age Sam, I just turned four this week so ya got a few weeks on me but isn't it great to be four. A bicycle would be lots of fun but I have more treatments a'fore I can think bout learning that. I like to drive my jeep tho and now the weather is gettin' great but I havta go into the hospital for a few weeks then maybe if I am strong enough I can drive it. Keep smilin! Hugs are good!

Hiya Sam, tell your Mom that I have not been signin much either, guess with me it is hit or miss and findin someone to type for me. I am thinkin I need to learn to type too but it is waaaaaaaay down the list of things I want to learn. I have walkin, drivin, flirtin, drumming a afew other funner things to learn first. Hope you are liking school. I still do not get to go very often. Too much clinic and hospital time right now. Let me tell ya a secret, I am trying to abandon the diapers. It is hard to learn the poddy stuff when it is hard to stand up but I get some help from Mom, gee I sure wish I could do this private stuff alone, ho hum sometime soon I hope. So Sam I think it is really really the greatest that you are in remission. I am hoping my Health Team gets me back there this round. Okay now gotta go! Been good visiting your site again. Hi Sam and Sara! Well Vanessa started preschool this week and she loves it. Right now only 2 days a week. These 2 days she has gone has been the easiest to wake her up, no fighting! Sam you are doing a bang up job of kicking some cancer bootie and I am proud to know it. Keep going bud and I will too (but I am not in remission now) getting the repeat poison(chemo) heading for doing some really heavy stuff they tell me is right tough so I am gearing up for the punch out I intend to give the blob in my head. So far it has not been too bad but the health care team told my folks that to succeed it has to throw really hard stuff at it and the up coming stem cell just makes me shuddar. Long hospital stay in isolation, seems a bit like what they do to mean people when they don't behave and I did not do anything. But if this is how the battle is waged then I have my guns loaded.

Dear Sara, Your Austin sounds like my twins!! Nicholas and Daniel follow no rules and feel that any discipline that I dish out is the price they need to pay to behave as they please. I don't know if it's chemo, but I have wondered if it's hospitalizations. My boys were 28 week premies and spent alot of time in the picu. What did they do?~I don't know, but it helps to have someone to blame. It can't be me....haha

He is alot older than Sam, but he has a different attitude than the sweet quite boy he used to be. HI Sam and family, I don't know what is going on with your website but it has "icons" or something all over the front of it. I could barely find the guestbook area to click. Hope you can get that fixed or maybe it will just go away, as computers tend to do whatever they want sometimes for no reason. Hope everyone is well there and the boys are having fun and not causing you too much stress these days. My 3 boys are a hand-full and yours are younger so that can usually mean more energy. I was devastated to read about David and almost felt sick as I read it. I am praying hard that it is not a reoccurance. As you probably felt the same way as I did when you read it, it is an instant panic. I hope she posts soon as sometimes it takes her a while to update and I always assume that means something is wrong, but have found out in the past that that is not the case. We continue to pray hard for all of these children and will especially be saying extras for David. God bless!

Oh the joys of three year olds! I have always had a threory, the teribble twos are bad but the horrible threes are even worse!! Katie is under the imprssion that the world revolves around her, and it is her way or the highway. Sorry I heven't been by to say hello recently. Been having a few of those bad days. You know the ones that all of a sudden creep up on you from behind and knock you down??

Sorry I haven't had time to write. Thank you for all the notes to Logan. Today I am off work because the baby has a temperature so I have a little time while she sleeps. Sam looks great. I love the picture with the big scrape on his head. He is just like Logan, no fear and all boy! Logan is finally going to preschool without a fuss. I love to hear all the stories when he comes home. They are so funny. When I was reading about Sam's first chemo I couldn't believe how mean the nurse was. We had only one grumpy nurse on a visit for counts. She yelled at me and Bubba (Logan's grandpa) because she said we were babying him. It was in the beginning and she was trying to get Logan to push his blood back into the tube! The good thing was we never had her again. I hope everybody else was more understanding. Anyway, I have to check up on all the other sites before Madelyn wakes up. I am glad Sam continues to do well. It is my favorite kind of news.

Hi Sam and Sara, glad to hear everything is going well for you. Vanessa will be Barbie Swan Lake this year, she already has her dress and long blonde wig. She said she feels like a princess in her dress! Still has not started preschool, next on the list. Its kind of crazy and such a long wait just to get in a decent preschool in Califonia. I have been out of work this past week. Not too sure if you knew that I am pregnant with our 3rd(and last!!!) 16 weeks along. For the past few days I have continiously been vomiting and they cant figure out why, so I go in next week for an ultrasound on my gallbladder. It has just been a pain, and just imagine all day long I am like this! I will keep you posted! Vanessa sees her cardioligist on November 11th, so I am pretty nervous about this visit. They have cautioned us with around 4 years old she can strat having problems with her mitral valve, although she seems to be doing ok.
Take care of yourself and I will keep you updated on everything.

I read a few of your journals and I cried. The beginning of your journal sounds terrible. I am going to pray for Sam everyday. I am so happy that he is in remission...is it scary.
My 4 year old son, Cameron is fighting Rhabdomyosarcom...he has 4 1/2 months of treatment left. The tumor is shrinking, but still there. We hope it becomes operable when this all said and done. Thanks for writing on our site.

Dear Sara and Sam,
I was checking on my friend Michaela's website and saw you signed,so I check into your's. What a sweet little boy. I have a daughter that just started pre-school in Sept. and it took her a few times to get use to it, but she does fine now. What a relief on "MOM". It was an adjustment for me too, but it's all worth it. She gets to have fun and interaction with people her age and I get to do the same. It's only 2 days a week for 2 1/2 hours each, but it's really helping her to become more independent and not so clingy, which inturn really helps me out. I'm sure all you mom's can relate. Hi Sam and Sara! Instead of posting my birds' pictures, this time I thought we'd go wild. This is one of 300 pictures I took. Did you know Indochinese tigers LOVE to swim? They do. We watched these two for about an hour at the Houston Zoo. They have a huge area to lounge around in, and a wide "river" to swim in. The Houston Zoo is known for its natural habitats...some are so good, you can't see the animals. We never did spot the leopards (no pun intended.) which were hidden up in their rocky area.

Here's some fact about these tigers for you! They are found in mainly in Thailand, but also Cambodia, China, Malaysia, Myanmar, Jamaica, Virgin Islands (U.S.)
They like forest but also hills and mountainous areas. Their stripes are narrower than the Bengal tiger..but folks OFTEN get these guys mixed up! And guess how much they weigh when they are born? TWO ounces! The mom usually has 2-4 babies and by a year and a half old, they are skilled enough hunters to say, "See ya later!"

He has been off chemo treatment for 2 1/2 years now with no setbacks. He is in Kindergarten this year and he will be 6 years old in November 10th. My daughter Pam also a brain tumor and has been fighting the fight since November 4th, 2002, after the birth of her daughter (Casey Morgan). My yougnest daughter, Karen, set up a caringbridge website for Pam. Karen's friends mother shared a prayer with us, that I would like to share with you and Sam. It's called DON'T QUIT:
Don't Quit -

The snails went in the bin. Luigi put them in a plastic bottle and fed them flour so that they would "jobby" all the rubbish that they had eaten before. So if you ever decide to eat snails that's what you do. They probably sell them ready cooked anyway in Safeways, no??
Anyway I got fed up looking at them so put them in the bin. That night he started looking for them to cook.
Told them they must have jumped over the balcony rather than be eaten.
Things are okay here. Girls started school last Thursday. Gemma is already full of complaints, sore head,eyes,feels sick.
I really think having to get up early is hard on her,she'd be great if she could go in about 11am.
Today she has been fine, apart from the fact that we've been without electricity and water for the past 16 hours!!!!
The power came back on just an hour ago.

Hello Sam. Wow you have been having so much fun. I am very glad for you. Too bad mom doesn't like the roller coasters, but I don't either. Only the smaller ones. When you go to Disney be sure to ride on the Thunder Mountain Railroad. It is so much fun. You will like Disney very much. We went in April and since Jackson's uncle is a fireman/EMT at Disney we always go to the firestation. That is pretty cool too. It must be why Jackson likes firemen so much. Hi Sam and family, Glad I got a moment to check in on you all this morning as I love the new pics. Sam looks so old and grown up. We will be praying for your physio appt. and that things get better in that area. We are going to Disney for Joshua's Make A Wish trip in November after Thanksgiving. It will be our third visit there but last time Joshua was only 2 and doesn't remember it. We have been in both July and August and boy is it hot then. Wouldn't recommend it then unless you really like the heat. I would think May would be beautiful. Are you planning on staying on Disney property? I hope so as that is really nice. Write me and let me know which hotel you are staying in as I cannot remember the name of where we stayed this moment. You will have a great time. It is hard not to. How old are your other boys again? Joshua is doing well and we have one more chemo in October. Hard to believe we are almost done. Kind of scary though. God bless!

This is the 3rd time that I'm trying to add this, every time I try to preview then go back I've lost the message.
Thanks for stopping by to visit us, it's always nice to hear from you. Of course it would be nice to see an update too(hint, hint).
I never know what to write about. I even suggested to Gemma that we start making things up to sound a bit more interesting. Of course she wouldn't agree, party pooper!!
Don't you tell Gemma that Sam's hair grew back in straight. Anybody that we've come across all have curly "After chemo hair". It does eventually grow straight again, so they say. It made me realize that Gemma is just a typical 15 year old, moaning about her hair and fat tummy. That's good, it means that fighting for her life hasn't changed her too much. Okay she's much more mature and soft hearted. Right, we'll say she's just a typical 15 year old Cancer Survivor.
Yes, that Guestbook Entry made us feel great. I e-mailed Sabrina to thank her. I, like you, thought Cancer = Death.
When I heard that Gemma had Leukemia I thought she would just gradually fade away. You remember the film "Love Story?", well that was my idea.
I would never have believed that Gemma would be back to normal (well, as normal as she was before all this happened!!)
By the way, the red phone boxes were in London, I didn't know that they are nearly extinct. Just as well we took a photo, might be worth something one day.
If I lose this Entry you'll hear me screaming.

Well how are things going?Kids settled back to school?
I cannot wait to have a bit of time on my own. As much as I love my kids I can't wait till school starts. It's worse than a pregnancy, I'm like "Only another 2 weeks to go"
Obviously the girls aren't looking forward to it, mainly because they get far too much homework.
Here school finishes at 2pm then it's homework (Gemma especially) until about 11 o'clock at night.She picked a very difficult senior secondary school and she pushes herself so hard to get good marks. She was 3rd in her class this year, but I'd rather she was just average and at least have a life apart from homework.
Now this is a very interesting message, isn't it??
Just wanted to say hello and I've ended up almost writing a book about homework. (and it hasn't even started yet).

So glad he's going to be in a play group, it's so wonderful to have socialization..David is 10, he's in 5th grade and started school 8/13...Florida schools go back so early...he was so happy to see his friends and teachers..it's a lift to the spirit. Since he's on such high doses of chemo he is dually enrolled for hospital homebound...but so far so good!
I pray for all the children who fight so hard through their diseases...and all the moms and dads and family members who go through these journey's...may yours continue to be healthy!

Hi Sara! It is so wonderful to hear the good news. Thank you for adding Vanessa to your links. We have had some wonderful people sign her guestbook from all over and she loves it! We went to the Neuroligist yesterday for her check up(we actually have a new one, it was her first visit with him)he was shocked to see what she looked like. He told us that she was amazing because of what he read he did not expect a "normal" child. That she must have had god watching her as well as an angel because with her past it is unbelievable she looks and acts like a healthy normal kid. So we as well had good news. It was neat to hear this from a doctor. Her PC appt is in November so that is the one we do not always look forward too. But I just wanted to thank you again, it means alot. I know it is not nearly what your little one is going through, but we are getting out the word of what these monster diseases do to our innocent children. Talk to you soon. Looks like we might have found a preschool for her so she is really excited!

I saw your entry in the Never Ending Squirrel Tales site, so thought I'd pop in and say hello.

We are also a family fighting the beast, my son was dx. at age 15 and finished a 2 yr. chemo protocol only to replase 1 month after ending treatment........thats the bad news the good news (good news when choices are limited) he needs an unrelated bone marrow transplant.

This week we were told they have found a Perfect Match...the fight continues, but these kids are tough cookies

Hello, Have a splash in that pool for me too. Here in Sicily it's VERY warm.Loved the pix.
