My amazing friend has been there for me through thick and thin over the years....
My story of caring is when I got my first child with cerebral palsy. I knew nothing about special caregiving. I walked in darkness, things unfolded without my knowledge of how to cub or prepare for them. I fell into total depression and got hospitalized. Well, after all that, I got to know that there are others who are going through the same. We started a support group for special caregivers which later translated to a community Based Organization called Cerebral palsy Space., Which has a daycare and therapy center. Now, taking care of special kids has given me closure, healing, experience and passion. Five years ago, both my parents developed paralysis due to strike and again caring for them is not easy, from changing their diapers, catheters, bathing and general cate is very draining. Once in a while, I feel like caregiving needs lot's of care and caution too. One can easily slide. Both ommunity and family service are delicate but fulfilling at the end of the day. Yes: CAREGIVERS NEED CARE TOO!
