My dear Family and Friends,
A lot has happened to me in the past few weeks. Even with daily bandage changes, the wounds on my legs were not healing and I had times of intense pain. Last Wednesday (April 24) I was admitted to St. Mary's Hospital for infections and pain. After a few days, my medical team made arrangements for a transfer to Mary Free Bed Hospital (MFB) as a non-rehab patient.
I moved to MFB today (April 29). What a lot of forms to sign and medical people to see! I did not even get my (needed) afternoon nap! In MFB, I will continue to receive daily bandage changes. I will also have an I.V. for antibiotic medications and pain medications. The goal is healing for my legs. I want and need to remain here until the healing occurs and the pain ends. My continued stay at MFB will be reevaluated weekly.
I am deeply grateful for all your prayers and love. The care and concern of this dear circle of friends and family have been precious blessings. Your prayers for healing and continued time in MFB would be a true gift to me.
