Journal
Dear kind family and friends,
I am pleased to report that I will be discharged from Mary Free Bed (MFB) Hospital tomorrow. I am grateful that I was able to remain at MFB for two weeks in order to have more time to heal. The staff have been very caring and kind. Once nurse secured all the supplies for dressing changes that I will need at home. Previously, I have often waited for many days after supplies were ordered and were intended to begin immediately. I am grateful that this caring nurse made sure that I will have the supplies immediately at home.
My pain is reduced, but not eliminated. Blood tests have confirmed that I no longer have the infections and my white blood cell count is normal. All antibiotic treatments have been completed. I will have my usual Wound Clinic weekly appointment later this week. A decision will be made then about changing my dressings every day or every other day at home. I pray that the wounds will not regress as they have done before.
I thank God for this progress. I remain deeply grateful for the people who have shown care to me and who continue to pray for me. I continue to pray for you too.
Have a blessed day,
Marie
