Journal

Hi everyone,

Quick update - I am at home resting and continuing to recover from everything the last few weeks.  It's been very difficult.  Lots of back pain, waking up frequently at night, and just a mess of digestive issues overall.  I am strong and will be back to normal soon, I know it.

Now for the main part of this post - today marks my one-year anniversary of giving up alcohol.  Time has flown by!  Overall, this was not a difficult feat, but I would be lying if I said I didn't crave a solid margarita on Friday afternoon with Kris.  I have noticed many other people either completely giving it up, cutting back significantly, or realizing that it no longer suits their lives.  Perhaps it's age, but I tend to think people are waking up and sick of the poison that is constantly flowing through our society.

I cannot even imagine waking up hungover anymore, spending a ton of money on drinks, or putting any form of alcohol in my body ever again. The benefits of eliminating drinking outweigh the negatives without a doubt.  I could get in touch with my spiritual side much easier, I have "gut instincts" and an "intuition" which I did not know I had before.  No more hangovers, I save so much money, and life is just better and more clear.

For those of you who have been thinking about going sober, seriously consider making the jump.  It's so important and could lead to surprising outcomes with your health.

Much love to you all.

Matt
