Lisa had a bit of a rough night last night so was tired today. It’s so easy for brain injury patients to get overstimulated and exhausted. She had a busy day yesterday so it’s not shocking that she’s tired today. She was able to walk a little outside for PT but the temperature was only in the 40s so it didn’t last too long. Lisa started to get a bit sad and surly, but she was able to rally for speech therapy. They worked on matching colors and letters and writing and word matching. Lisa did really well. 😍
She was able to relax with Scot in the afternoon and rest, which is great. Her days are so busy and filled with therapy and visitors and doctors, so it’s important for her to rest when she can and let her brain continue to heal.
She’s been more emotional the past few days, sad at times and then angry. We’re thinking it may be the switch in medications since insurance wouldn’t cover the ones that we’re working. We’re hoping we can find the right balance for Lisa so she can continue to progress and have good, positive days.
Caroline comes on Saturday which will be great! Not sure how long she’ll be there but every day will be a good day for Lisa then!
I hope everyone has a great weekend filled with positive energy and some time to relax! ❤️
