Lisa was waking up and happy when Scot and Caroline arrived. They had a nice breakfast together. Lisa was asking questions about what happened last year and how she got here, so in short, Scot explained to her what happened. Not sure how much Lisa understands, but my guess is very little. But the great thing is that she’s starting to ask!
Lisa has become very jealous of Scot talking to the various nurses or techs or therapists. It’s fairly normal for a brain injury patient to latch on to their care giver, and the fact that her main care giver is Scot makes it all the more difficult for Scot. Anytime Scot talks with a female tech or therapist or nurse, Lisa gets jealous, thinking Scot is straying on her. So it’s been a rough couple of weeks for Scot, trying to communicate with staff on what’s best for Lisa and Lisa thinking Scot is “cheating” on her. He moves forward with his day, knowing that he has Lisa’s best interests at heart and that this is typical for brain injury patients. It’s still super rough tough for Scot, as I’ve seen first hand.
Tomorrow is a new week, so let’s hope and pray that Lisa has a positive week with happy times and good interactions with the staff and her family! ❤️😍❤️
