Back Home last night! My Bed was so nice! So I’m doing better the chest tubes are out they pulled about 6,000 ML of fluid off them and it finally slowed down the right lung is still not inflating all the way yet. Dr. Is still hoping that I won’t need a drain tube while out patient. If it’s still not inflating fully in a week then we will see if we need a chest tube as an out patient for a few months or the 2nd option is to have the  surgeon go into the chest laparotomy to scrape out some rhyne that can develop after transplant sometimes and cause the lung not to inflate fully. I feel like a pin cushion and I have so many holes in my belly and chest that I’m starting to think I might be a sprinkler.  Speaking of leaking funny story for you. The Dr. finished taking the drain tubes out and out of the room he went. Rick myself and the pharmacy nurse are discussing my discharge when I thought someone pinched me in the back and then realized I had a leaker the Tegaderm bandage had so much pressure under it that it blew up and popped which then soaked me. So the Dr. was called back in to put another dressing on it and the same thing happened at home but at least it is getting out of me. Rick has been yelling your such a “LEAKER” with lots of laughs.

Again my family has been so supportive of me. Rockstar Rick sure has been treating me like a princess but sometimes the princess is sassy because she wants to do things her way but Rick sure knows how to just say let me help you and calm down. I mean I can’t lie, I sometimes need an attitude adjustment and my tiara squished. HAHA! Also a huge shout out to everyone family and friends who have been calling Rick and letting him vent or just talk when he needs to. We couldn’t ask for a better supporting group of people. We both appreciate everyone checking on the both of us. Now after being in the hospital again for 2 weeks this “litttle leaker” lol has to get back into her own routine again.
I can now get back to driving as the eye dr. Cleared me!!

Ok thanks for reading my story today and I should have more updates in about 2 weeks. I’m going to end on the positive note of saying
“Just Breathe and think positive”.
Linda (Rinda)
