Lily’s update from today is in the previous post. I want to share the wisdom from the woman who inspired our three days of prayer.🤍

This was her first message on Thursday night:

Just feeling the Spirit nudge me to pray for your family with even more intention and strength after reading your update.

After searching over Scripture, I’m settled in Isaiah 35.

There is so much parallel to Lily’s life in this chapter and (while this may sound crazy) I feel God is asking me to pray 35x a day for the next 3 days (to start).

I will be reading this chapter each time and asking God to show his power for His glory in your/her life.

Here is her perspective this morning:

“And a great road will go through that once deserted land. It will be named the Highway of Holiness. Evil-minded people will never travel on it. It will be only for those who walk in God’s ways; fools will never walk there.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭35‬:‭8‬ ‭NLT‬‬

This verse has sat differently over the last few days. At first it unsettled me, thinking of the road to Heaven- but now, I’m discerning that Lily may one day look at her scars and discuss the beautiful work that God has done to heal her, leaving her scar as the “highway to holiness” where things at one time looked deserted (helpless, difficult), but the road is there because God did miracles in her- and she will walk in God’s ways, carrying His holiness within her forever.

If you read on in the passage it tells about how there will be no more dangers or sorrow or mourning, just joy and singing for those He redeems. 💛

God is so faithful. I hope this encourages you to lean into the power of prayer.
