Sign In to Show Your SupportBoston was the right place to be. After meeting with her new medical team, we were informed that the specialists in Boston did not believe there was enough evidence to show that the chemo is not working. Therefore, they wanted to proceed with another round of chemo and do follow up scans next month.
The team immediately started getting the lab and imaging work needed to start her fifth round of chemo by Thursday. It was originally planned to be an inpatient admission but the hospital did not have any beds available so they were able to accommodate through their outpatient infusion center.
This came with some hurdles we had to overcome come, a popped IV line at bedtime one night meant an ER visit. Traveling to the ER was a challenge due to a Boston Red Sox game happening. Otherwise, Lennix was able to sleep peacefully at the hotel.
Lennix had the chance to do music therapy and absolutely loved it! She also got to be the first patient to meet the new therapy dog Opry. She was so thrilled!
We all returned home late Monday night safe and sound.
