Hello again! So, I am going to just cut to the chase. My trip to the Mayo was a bust and a blessing at the same time. I had a CT scan on Thursday morning. Everything went good....Or so I thought! After my CT scan I was supposed to have my PET/MRI scan. While I was on my way to the appt. my cell phone rang and it was one of my Dr's. He tells me that I need to get to the ER at the hospital immediately. And all my other appts. were to be cancelled. Turns out that they found free air in my abdomen. Which is a very dangerous sign that I may have a leak somewhere in my intestines. After 2 days of test they were unable to find any leak. They determined that the air may have come my vomiting from the week before and the leak healed up right away. As for now we will be keeping a close eye on this. And as for bumps in the road this one was a doozie!! Good thing I have 4WD truck to power through it.
   The silver lining to all this is that the Dr. had enough information from the CT scan to determine the next course of action....Surgery. He was also able to get an estimate on the size of the tumor and believes that it is approximately 90% smaller than its original size. This is still unconfirmed by a the PET/MRI scan. But, still amazing news!!!
   Assuming I don't run into any more road blocks. I will be going into surgery on May 30th to get rid of this thing once and all. WHOO-HOO!!!!. But, I still have a few weeks to go to get ready. And as I've said before, WE GOT THIS!!. After all....It's just surgery. I want to thank you all again and have a wonderful spring. I love you all!
