Chemo Day!
It’s been a good day here at the cancer center. Mom’s labs continue to be positive. All was good again today. Her doctor was running behind this morning so we just got to see him briefly. He is very happy with where she is at. He lowered the dosage of her chemo drugs to see if that can help with Mom’s fatigue. He believes that even with a lower dosage the drugs will continue to do their job. Mom’s body has reacted so well to the drugs - everyone is really pleased with her progress and stability.
Our favorite nurse, Lindsay, came by and talked with us for a while. She gave mom a hug and showed us pictures of her little girls. Always great to see her!
Mom got a good, long nap in. And the scheduler lady came - we have chemos scheduled through August and another CT scan at the end of August.
Overall another good day! Mom just has a little bit left for her IV drugs then she will get her take-home pump hooked up. As per usual, we will stop and get chemo day Chick-fil-A salads!
We are thankful:
- For the rain this morning 🌧️ and the sunshine this afternoon☀️
- For continued amazing care by the medical staff - so grateful for those who go out of their way to connect with and care for us
- For Mom’s continued stability and positive test results
- For the Lord’s love for and presence with us. In the midst of this hard season - we rest in Him.
Prayers:
- That there will be no issues with Mom’s take-home pump. We haven’t had issues lately - so hoping for the same!
- That the chemo drug dosage reduction will result in Mom having some more energy.
- For continued good sleep/eating/drinking.
Thank you for praying! Until next time… 🩷🙏🏼
