Happy Tuesday,

Last week of treatment is this week!! There's a lot of emotions going on in this house right now.

The past four days Jayce has felt pretty decent, very thankful for that. And for the past three days he has actually eaten three times a day. It's been weeks since that happened!

Not a lot has happened. Jayce's numbers are too low for him to go do fun things at the moment. His fun consists of going for walks, throwing a ball, doing homework, playing his computer, and building Legos, but that's okay. We are hopeful that Friday his numbers will have recovered a little bit, and we can get back to doing things.

This stage wasn't supposed to bring numbers down. Jayce's numbers have tanked. They have also stayed tanked which isn't normal.  Last week we were supposed to get dose number four of stage five but because his numbers were too low, he skipped that dose and got the other two chemo's. We will go back Friday and try again for the last dose of the stage. If his numbers are too low, he will skip the last dose of treatment as well. As much as I don't like the chemo because it makes him sick, I just need his numbers to start to come up.

If we skip the dose Friday, we will enter maintenance at the end of the month.  If his numbers don't come up, we may need to do another bone marrow pull which I am highly against. Dr. Elliot believes that Jayce's body is exhausted because it's been hit so hard and he's having a really hard time recovering. If this continues and a bone marrow is needed, they would be looking to see if Jayce relapsed or if the treatment has killed her bone marrow. Either one of those options are rare, but so is Jayce's cancer so you never know with him. We are told to go by how Jayce looks not what the numbers say, and he looks good, so we hold on to that :)

So here's to the last week of treatment, here's to starting the transition back to normal and finding out what that new normal is going to look like!! If I said I wasn't nervous I would be lying but also so excited for him to keep getting healthier each day. I'll be in touch next week when we are officially done!!
