Welcome to Everett’s CaringBridge Site
Sign In to Show Your SupportEverett had a good week. He handled the five straight days of chemotherapy well with no immediate side effects. We begin another week of chemotherapy tomorrow and are hopeful it goes just as smoothly. Everett continues to gain strength, weight lifting and walking light as much as his body can tolerate. We have been enjoying the nice weather and spending time outside.
Jeff has ran Hood to Coast the last few years, a 200 mile relay race starting at Mt Hood and ending in Seaside Oregon. Jeff isn’t running this year, however his team (more like second family) is running this year in honor of Everett. The team wanted to support Everett and started a fundraising page at our families choosing. We choose the Children’s Cancer Association of Oregon (Also known as JoyRX).They are NonProfit 501c3, focusing on Music, Mentorship,Nature, Arts, Crafts, and Toys for seriously ill children. They have volunteers at Doernbecher week in and week out bringing joy to all these children. Everett will get to experience some of the generosity of this organization in July, where we will stay at the JoyRx caring cabin. The Alexandra Ellis Caring Cabin 2017 Refresh - JoyRx
We have seen firsthand how these efforts bring calm, courage and strength to children of all ages in such trying times. We are completely humbled by the love and support from not only the team, but all of you following this page. If you would like more information on CCA and this effort please go to: Everett Shoji's fundraising page for JoyRx | Children's Cancer Association
