Today I am grateful school is out for summer!
Met with Dr B (breast surgeon) last week and we are a GO for Lumpectomy and sentinel lymph node removal! If the dyes show more bad lymph nodes could become a lymphnode dissection … which means the difference of 2-3 vs 10-15 lymphnodes removed. Prayers for only 2-3!
Met my PT for a prehab appt to prep for 2 side effects of surgery…lymphedema and/or cording. Ashley (my PT) is awesome! One of the side effects of lymphnode removal is cording-basically a rope like structure that develops under the skin in the arm feeling like a tight cord running from arm to palm of my hand limiting my ability to raise my arm all the way…this one has a higher chance of happening so Doc wanted me to see her so it’s easier to get in if I have any problems!
So, this week is a busy one and would love all the prayers and good thoughts!
May 29th bloodwork-(need platelets to be good so we can have surgery on Thursday!). Also HER2+ infusion…1 of 11. Prayers for continued good heart health!
May 30th Surgery!!!!! Prayers for steady surgeon hands, sentinel lymph node removal, all clear margins and no cancer left!
