His labs were still looking good and his hemoglobin was up to 9.9. Of course now, we will expect these values to drop once again. Hopefully not so low he will need any transfusions.
Over the next few days we expect nausea and overall increased fatigue. Last time he received these medications, he was quite tired and nauseated for about 3 days. We aren’t sure how much of the fatigue was due to lack of sleep in the hospital or chemotherapy, but we should get a good idea this time around.
So far today, he does complain of nausea (tummy pain to him), lack of appetite and headaches. Thankfully we can just relax this weekend.
We do have a date for scans, which will be May 30th. We will get the results and updated plan on May 31st. Hopefully we will get the go ahead to proceed with surgery and that would likely be sometime that first week of June.
Last Sunday, we were able to get family pictures in before his hair really started falling out. We did end up shaving his hair as it was always falling in his face and driving him nuts.
Thank you all for the continued support, prayers, and love.
