If I don’t post a daily update, that’s only because there’s nothing new to report. Carter is happy to be at home with Claire and Cooper. He’s been in a pretty good mood and humming quite a bit. Carter, Claire, and Cooper have been running around the house playing monkey-in-the-middle with a balloon. It’s way past bedtime and the boys have been playing Hide & Seek with me. It’s been hilarious and Carter’s having so much fun. 🤣 It's been beautiful chaos over here and I'm loving every second!
Jane, our Art Therapist, will be coming for a visit on Tuesday afternoon. We’ll be discussing a variety of topics — going back to school, his LAST ROUND of chemo, and getting out for fun outings!
We have fun stuff planned in the near future:
- Boston Red Sox game
- Major thanks to our friends for lending us shirts to wear!
- Peabody Museum
- Bronx Zoo
Big News! Carter’s caterpillars turned into chrysalids and 1 butterfly emerged this morning! We’re waiting for the others to emerge they can be released!
His last round of chemo is scheduled to begin on Wednesday if he makes counts. His ANC has already recovered, however on Thursday morning his platelets were only 20. They need to be at least 75 for Carter to have chemo.
If chemo is delayed, it will most likely complicate plans for the end of the school year. Please pray for Carter’s platelets to climb high over the next 4 days!
