Welcome to Brad’s CaringBridge Site
Sign In to Show Your SupportBrad started radiation on Monday and will finish up tomorrow. It will take about a week before he may notice any improvement, but we are really hoping it helps. He also received in-home oxygen which has immediately helped with his breathing and improved his sleep. He went from really needing a walker to moving around on his own. We have worked with Palliative Care to adjust his medications and he's seen some improvement in appetite which is great. He has lost quite a bit of weight very quickly and when he is able to eat tends to feel so much better. Early next week we'll meet with his Oncologist to start the Padcev infusions and learn more about what that looks like.
What help looks like right now:
Brad and I can not say THANK YOU enough for the love and support you've shown our family. Prayers and encouragement are really all we could ever ask for. Still, some have reached out asking what help looks like right now. Honestly asking for help feels uncomfortable. We know that we are so lucky to have resources at our disposal and the task of assessing what we need also feels overwhelming. I have given it some thought, and will post some ideas below. PLEASE know that we have zero expectations and we are just grateful to have you in our lives.
Meals are always appreciated. We have no dietary restrictions, but know that Brad's appetite fluctuates and my kiddos are typical picky eaters. Fresh/Healthier foods and those requiring minimal prep are especially great. Friends have set up a Meal Train that can be found HERE.
Family has set up a scholarship fund to help with the kid's education which really means the world to us. The Link to contribute to that can be found HERE .
Please do not hesitate to reach out. Thank you again.
