The last 2 weeks have been pretty quiet. We were excited to see Addy's labs after Colorado, and while happy she was doing well, her oncology team told us that is was time to increase her chemo dose. The goal for maintenance is to get Addy's absolute neutrophil count (ANC) to a place where her bone marrow isn't too happy, so the leukemia can't do well, but high enough that she can be out in public and not worry about neutropenia. Her bone marrow was doing too well, so the increased dose should take her neutrophil count down and keep the leukemia in check.

She had an oncology appointment yesterday, and it was the same story again - time to increase her dose for a second time. Now she's back to the 100% dose she started at earlier this year. We're praying that this is where she can stay for the rest of maintenance, and that her body has gotten used to the medication enough that her neutrophil count stays at that sweet spot we're looking for. It's a delicate balance!

The other thing we addressed at her appointment was her weight. We were hoping her appetite would pick up and she could gain some weight back, but it just hasn't happened over the last 2 months. Today she started an appetite stimulant to try to get her eating more. We are really hoping that with some weight gain she can also gain strength. 

Thankfully, Addy's energy levels have been great recently. She's working so hard in PT, running and dancing around the house, and playing outside as much as possible. We are finishing up the school year next week, which is really remarkable considering she has been inpatient for 10 weeks of the school year. We're proud of the hard work she's been doing all around!
