Welcome to William’s CaringBridge Site
Sign In to Show Your SupportIt has been a rather challenging last several weeks. Since my discharge from UCHealth Anschutz hospital, I have had low blood pressures with significant orthostatic drops. So I have been unable to exercise to the degree I previously did. And I have had to take more pain medications given my spasticity which has helped. However, as you know, medicines have their positive effects and adverse reactions, so I need to be careful. But I have been able to better coordinate the medical teams at Craig and the University to more aggressively manage my care.
Today is Yom HaShoah, Day of Holocaust Remembrance. As you may know, I founded the Holocaust Contemporary Bioethics program at the CU Center for Bioethics & Humanities in 2008. Then, Matthew Wynia M.D. came as Director of the Center in 2015, and this program became the leading educational resource of its kind in the country. Should you be interested, we have an excellent program planned for tomorrow, May 7, at 4 PM MDT. Check out the webpage and sign up for future mailings if you can.
So I continue to do the best I can with a lot of medicines and care from excellent physicians and healthcare staff and resources. It would not be enough without the thoughts and prayers from all of you as expressed in this caringbridge.org posting. You are truly inspirational to me. And my beloved Sara and caregivers are truly amazing.
