William David Poulliotte, age 4, died in his parents’ loving arms, at Levine Children’s Hospital, in Charlotte, NC, on Friday, December 7, 2018.

William was born on September 8, 2014, in Charlotte, NC, to proud parents Chad Poulliotte and Jennifer Poulliotte.

William’s smile was infectious, and he brought joy to each and every person who crossed his path.  He loved lining up his cars, constructing big buildings out of legos and magna tiles, riding his bike and scooter, playing on his swing set, going for carriage and wagon rides, snuggling with his family, reading books, playing on his iPad, listening to nursery rhymes, and dancing to his favorite song, “Sandstorm”.  He loved his family passionately, especially his big sister, Ali, they were and will always be, best friends.

William had congenital heart disease, but he fought to live each and every day, and he did so with joy and love.  He was a beacon of strength and determination; his spirit was far reaching; and his family is beyond grateful to have spent the past 4 years showering him with their unconditional love.  He is and will always be their hero…their heart warrior…their sunshine.

William is survived by his devoted parents Chad and Jennifer; his loving sister, Ali; his paternal grandmother, Carol Poulliotte; his maternal grandmother, Lizbeth Royle; aunts; uncles; cousins and friends.

A special thank you to his caregivers in the CVICU and Progressive Care Unit at Levine Children’s Hospital, as they worked tirelessly on his behalf, and treated him with the utmost care, dignity and respect.

Calling hours will take place at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home, 16901 Old Statesville Road, Huntersville, NC, from 6-8pm, Friday, December 14, 2018.  A Celebration of William’s Life will take place at the Sweet Magnolia Estate, 10101 Bailey Road, Cornelius, NC, from 12-3pm, Saturday, December 15, 2018.  All are invited to attend.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you please make a donation to the HEARTest Yard Foundation, in William’s memory.  The HEARTest Yard Foundation supports families of children with congenital heart disease treated at Levine Children’s Hospital, in Charlotte, NC.
