Welcome to Trey’s CaringBridge Site

Round 6 of chemo they omitted the oxolypatin because his platelets were low. Round 7 they decided to completely remove the oxolyplatin permanently from his treatment plan. This is a double edged sword! Oxolyplatin is the most powerful drug in his chemo cocktail, and does the most "work" on the tumors, it is also the one that makes him feel the worst.
We feel very blessed. While Trey has good days and bad days and generally doesn't feel great, he is tolerating the chemo better than we could have hoped.
On May 23rd he will go in for his LAST chemo infusion,. We will deaccess on May 25th, and then we move on to the next step.
The first week in June will be very busy with testing, scans and mapping for his radiation. On June 12th he starts with an intense combination of chemo and radiation. He will take 8 chemo pills daily and have radiation therapy everyday. This will probably not be easy for him either, but we continue to find the positives and give thanks to God everyday for everything he continues to do for us.
