Jeremiah 29:11
"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
As I look backward, I stand amazed at our Savior and His loving kindness to us. I write this on October 31, 2019, two months after my brain tumor was discovered. I kept a simple recording of events, not quite a diary as the days went on.
It started as far as I knew then on the floor of Panera Springhurst on Friday, August 30, 2019. After a normal Bible study, I was awakened to a new reality that morning. It was new for me, but the Lord had planned this day from before time began. Midday that day, the doctors at Baptist Hospital determined that I had a good sized brain tumor. They told Melissa and I that we would not leave the hospital until I had brain surgery. That was quite a wake up call for us.
There are too many stories to tell here of God's guiding hand thru it all. We have witnessed the most amazing love from our Savior and so many others. As I sit here reflecting on the last two months, I realize that there is not enough time or space to record all we would like to thank. We are extremely greatful for all we have been taught in these months.
We are also aware that so many have been greatly influenced by God's sovereign power in ways that we have little knowledge of. Our Almighty God has revealed Himself in great power, but also in such compassion and tenderness. We have come to know His great strength through our utter weakness.
As of Monday, October 28, 2019, I have completed 5 radiation treatments and no more are planned. At this time, I am not expected to be tested for any regrowth of cancer cells for 6 months. I am able to work now as much as I choose. We are returning back into some of the same patterns that we had before cancer. Today though, we we are wiser and can attest to how the Lord has led us with great power. We are so pleased that our Lord has started us on this journey and assume He has much more for us to learn of His ways. Thank you for walking this path with us. We want to continue to be used up in service to Him and bring great glory to Him!

The Lord is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He does not faint or grow weary;
his understanding is unsearchable.
29 He gives power to the faint,
and to him who has no might he increases strength"
