It has been some time since I posted some thing on Tim‘s page. Well here goes….

It was an interesting summer. Sometime in early summer we went for the one year check up for Tim’s shoulder replacement surgery. Classic Tim, as the surgeon is walking out the room he said my shoulder seems to be a little puffy( he of course never mentioned it to me)….. and so begins the infection. A slow growing weak bacteria. In August Tim went under the knife again and our surgeon decided to take the shoulder replacement out. Dr L was worried that just cleaning it and inserting it back in would not kill this little Tim loving bacteria. Dr L put in a cement, antibiotic infused spacer, so Tim has been literally without a shoulder since the beginning of August. Tim has been treated with antibiotic infusions and oral antibiotics, he has had a weekly blood test and on December 1 Tim will go back into surgery to put a new shoulder in.

This Thanksgiving we have made the the difficult decision to isolate. COVID seems to be out there everywhere we are doing everything to try and prevent a delay of this next surgery. We plan to rehab in the Florida Keys.

Please pray that we stay free of Covid and Tim has a successful shoulder replacement surgery.
