I’m so grateful for everyone’s prayers and support. Thane is confounding the doctors. They said septic shock on Thursday, but they do not have proof his shock was from sepsis. His heart is overall weak. The right side is particularly weak and not pumping very well. 

In the last couple days, Thane has had multiple episodes that are causing his lungs to clog and collapse. Yesterday they had to do CPR for somewhere between five and eight minutes because his ET tube (breathing tube) was clogged. They are doing CPT (chest physiotherapy) every 6 hours to help keep him clear, but even last night, I got a call to inform us that even with the CPT, Thane still had an emergent episode where his lung was clogged and collapsed. The clog is currently resolve. His collapsed lung is still recovering.

Even though he is the top priority in the CICU, Thane seems to be presenting with new issues everyday. 

Thane is still on the broadest antibiotics. They are treating him for everything they can. The plan now is to get an MRI on Tuesday to see if the infection in his brain is being treated with the antibiotics. They are blindly treating it since they are not able to safely retrieve a sample of the infection surrounding his brian. Everyone at the hospital is doing everything they can, but God alone is the giver and taker of life. The way I see it, at this point, man has done all they can. God alone can bring him out. I’ve heard my Pastor often pray, “God, I know you have good planned for us. Help us know what “good” is.” That is my prayer request. My husband and I trust the Lord’s will for Thane whole heartedly and we are believing and hoping in Him to carry us through. My prayer is that we stand firm in the truth and that we would see the good He has for us, even in the midst of this. God is for us. God cares deeply for our family. God’s steadfast love is ours, thanks to the sacrifice of His son. I just praise the Lord because my understanding of what “good” is doesn’t change His nature. He is a God whose promises are true and He is worthy of all of our praise. Please praise God for his all seeing, all knowing, unchanging character that loves his children. God will never stop being faithful no matter where my baby is. I either get to keep him in my arms or God will be able to greet him home. Whichever the Lord wills, He alone is good!
