Hi all. We came down to Cutchogue this weekend for a much needed change of scenery, to walk along the beach, and to reconnect with friends. 

When we arrived at Mike Malter’s house (neighbor and my friend from 7th grade) we were met by Mike who uncharacteristically was wearing a wool hat in his house. Soon after he and Frankie hugged us he revealed his very personal tribute to Laurie - as you can see, shaving his head!  We were teary eyed at this incredible moment of friendship and love. It is a moment - and an ultimate act of friendship - that we will never forget. We love you Mike!

Laurie continues to improve on a daily basis. Still not close to 100% but baby steps each day. She does receive compliments on the shape of her bald head. It is rather round and nicely shaped - who knew?  It was a chance I took over 35 years ago!!
