My late wife Tammy made a special trip to NYC Sloan Kettering Cancer Center to ask for an advanced clinical trial. The first treatment she received was an alkaloid derived from "tree bark from a tree grown in the Pacific Northwest" This alkaloid is dated to 1983 according to my research. I regret not asking what type of tree the chemo treatment was being drawn from. Instead, I asked about mushrooms that usually grow in association with tree roots or on trees given a Shaman's advice. To the Oncologist's credit, the oncologist did produce a study on the effects of mushrooms on cancer tumors before the FDA. I regret not researching that the tree was the Yew Tree -- the "Celtic Tree of Death" which I didn't figure out until after my wife had lost the battle to chemo and cancer -- a two front war in my opinion. I regret not have researched and learned that Berberine is also an alkaloid and is used in context with improving digestive issues etc until too late in Tammy's treatment -- after she had been given "the talk" for a second time. Above is a graphic depicting my notes and 20 - 20 hindsight of Shaman sessions and research. It would have been nice had Tammy been informed of Berberine as a non-toxic alternative to the Yew Tree, Daffodils and Periwinkle toxic alkaloids used in cancer research -- specifically the Berberine - Tumeric study that Memorial Sloan - Kettering known for advance clinical trials were in all likely hood well aware.
- Tammy was born in Oregon to a Blackfoot First Nation father.
