We are using this page to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. We aren’t looking for any donations (I believe the donation button goes to caring bridge directly which may be misleading). 


We have a great network of family and friends close we are tapping to run kids around, cook/order door dash, take care of the dog and more. Once we know more post surgery and hospital stay (5-14 days post surgery) we will reach out with possible support. Until then all of the prayers and love are appreciated.

Round 3

Journal entry by Sydney Marino —

Just kicked off my 3rd round of chemo. We have had a few hiccups with bloodwork that we are hoping a series of steroids help with. Until that gets under control my immunotherapy is on hold.  After this round we will do a scan. Channel all of those thoughts and prayers for May 14th (results on the 15th). That will decide if we continue on with chemo or need to make other plans. We are looking for shrinkage in the tumors and no new tumors. It would be a miracle if they were just gone 🙏🏻

I’ve been feeling pretty good during these first two rounds of chemo and so we capitalized on every off week or non chemo day. We were able to keep all of our spring plans. Such a nice treat after cancelling our big trip. Santa Barbara with my sister in laws, Paris with my mom, San Diego with the kids for spring break and Leavenworth for my 40th bday. I’m so blessed to be able to make these memories and take the good days when they come. 

We had an amazing 40th bday party in Seattle last weekend. I’m still beaming with the amount of love in the room. Friends from all over and just a great time celebrating.
