June 25 is the day.

It is now June 1. Birthday month is here and as many of you may know, I am not a participator in birthday month. I am a big participator in "anxiety over how to mark the birthday, especially big ones. Looks like I will turn 60, which has been a big unknown but right now seems a good enough possibility to make a reasonable plan for how to spend it and not let it crash in on me with other people doing things that will take too much energy.

Luckily, I had already planned on having friends Joe and Paula here, who went to Little Falls with me last year and proved their light caregiving and low key hangout and napping skills. They will be here 2-3 days with June 25 at the center. The. Day.

But lots of others whose low key skills are questionable keep making advances to come... Here's what we're going to do. You can start now and get it over with. There will also be reminders.

send me a note, letter, print-out of an email, or standard card. Any I receive before June 24 I will put in a box, unopened. I'm shooting for-- and I hope this isn't too ambitious-- 60. On the Day, June 25, 2024, If the weather is good, Joe and Paula will be like baby shower meisters, recording and facilitating and turning around to get thank you cards ready to mail back.
