Good morning family and friends,
Once again, I'm a little late on Steve's weekly update. As we've been busy with the beautiful weather, and fishing opener.  Steve's doing really good. He is trying to put more pressure on his left leg and foot, and is trying to walk more and more without his cane, but this can bring more discomfort and quite a bit of limping. Last week at his PT appointment they really worked on this, and I was amazed when he came home and I saw how much he improved with it. He's really working on remembering to go heel toe when he's walking. His orthopedic Dr called him last week and would like to see him earlier than initially planned. He said that he and his team were going over his case, and being that it has been so difficult he would like to check the screws again to make sure that they haven't moved anymore. Steve has also had one session with the eye therapist. They would like to see him at least 2-3 more times. The exercises they have him doing would make me dizzy, but he says they are working for him to be able to track and read better, so that is wonderful!! This week brings a MRI of his brain and more PT along with speech therapy. This is very common that they send a person to this if they have had a head injury. They say this goes along with the eye therapy, so I'm interested to see how that went later today. 
Over all Steve is doing great!! We celebrated his birthday last Thursday by going up to the cabin on Lake Osakis having dinner, and then having friends up for the fishing opener. This is really good therapy for Steve, and I am hoping he will be able to spend more time up there while he recovers. Fishing and relaxing, sounds perfect to me!!
