From our warrior:
“Update since April 22
After getting IVIG again on April 22nd & 23rd, I still ended up getting more platelets on the 26th in Waterloo. I continued to have trouble keeping numbers up and on Monday 29th I received more magnesium & platelets while in Iowa City. I then ended up being admitted on the 30th for migraine and labs dropping lower. I told the doctor I had to be out by May 2nd because I had a survivors parade to be in on the 3rd! She was not thrilled about it, but she discharged me and wanted me back right away the following Monday. After I got blood and platelet infusions, I made my exit. I returned on Monday the 6th and all my numbers were up! Not normal range, but better than the week before! I then went back on May 9th to see the neurologist and he said things looked great and I could come back in 6 months for follow up! Then, I had labs and they dropped again except WBC. That actually went to normal range!!! So just dealing with some hip pain and body aches from lowering the prednisone, I think, but I’m doing ok I think!
I had an enjoyable weekend at the river with my mom and Neva. Got to see friends I haven’t seen forever and felt a little normal for once!
I have another appointment tomorrow to test labs again, so keep me in your prayers, please, for good numbers & they keep improving!
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the thoughts, prayers, & help from you all!! Couldn’t do it without you!! 🧡🧡🧡”
