Stephanie’s Story

Site created on July 22, 2021

Stephanie (Witt) Winkelpleck found out recently she's been diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. She was taken to UIHC to do testing and treatments. She has now started chemotherapy.
Steph is a fun-loving, go-getter of a woman. She is the definition of STRONG. She is a daughter, niece, cousin, friend, and very loving wife and mother. And, her hair skills? Can’t be beat. Just like her!
Keep the Winkelpleck and Witt families in your thoughts and prayers, and join us all for #stephstrong 🧡.

From Steph! 🧡🧡🧡
“We enjoyed a private visit to Red Rock farms to miss the crowd, enjoyed a couple nights at the river to close things up and went out for dinner to celebrate our anniversary while there. Then celebrated Neva’s 2nd bday before being admitted Tuesday for round 2 of hidac consolidation treatments. Decorated a pumpkin yesterday for craft project! But haven’t been sick this round so far!! Numbers are on their way back down and I was put on a med to control my uric acid cuz they can’t keep that down. This will prevent any kidney damage.”
So happy to see your smile in these pictures, Steph! We all love you so much! #stephstrong 🧡🧡🧡
