Sign In to Show Your SupportLast Thursday Skyler had his 3rd Pet Scan. Yesterday, we had an appointment with Dr Davis to review his Pet Scan. Here are the results!
Skyler's tumors on his Spleen and Liver have shrunk! This is great news! God is answering all of our prayers!! The Chemo, along with all of the Naturopathic treatments are working. He decided to not do round 5 & 6 of the AIM Chemo but keep it in his back pocket incase the cancer grows and gets way worse again.
He is going to start a less harmful chemotherapy called PacLitaxel. This is the chemo they started him out on that didn't touch his cancer at the start, but now since the cancer and tumors have gotten smaller they will try it again. This will be an one hour IV treatment once a week for 3 out of 4 weeks. Dr Davis said, "This will be like water compared to what you have been on." Skyler was so excited not to go into the hospital and stay for 4 days and then feel awful for a couple of weeks. I am 110% on board with him stopping AIM for now and keeping it for just incase. He will continue on all of his Naturopathic treatments and alkaline diet.
He hasn't had to have a blood transfusion since before spring break. The blood thinning injections he takes every night have been working. His blood is stable so he will start lowering the dose of the blood thinners by half to see if his blood continues to be stable. Our hope is to get off the injections without it effecting his blood counts. If this happens he will no longer be in DIC and it is yet another miracle/ answered prayer.
We are so excited and hopeful with this new!! We are Praising God and continuing to pray for complete healing. Thank you all so much for all of your love and support!! We love and appreciated you so much!
