Wedding Day for Savannah and Adam finally arrived! All the planning of the last 12 months including the medical miracle of the last 5 months culminated in yesterday’s wedding ceremony as Savannah walked down the aisle to her groom without any walking aid.
It was a small and intimate wedding and we sure missed grandpa but knew he was with us in spirit. Here’s a photo of a special moment Savannah had with her grandma in the bridal room in church before the wedding.
A great party was had by all later at the reception and Savannah danced the night away. It was so good to see her dancing and laughing with friends and loved ones. This was the day we were not sure was going to happen. And we are so grateful for the healing that occurred.
But today, our bride is feeling some of the aches and pains of yesterday’s dancing. In protecting her right leg she over compensated on her left leg and is feeling some muscle pain along her left hip. So out came the crutches to help with walking. We are so grateful her grandmother is here for another week for Senibua’s graduation and we might ask her to have a look at Savannah’s hip and share some of her PT wisdom before Savannah leaves for her honeymoon.
Savannah will resume her studies in August and will also have another follow up with her orthopedic doctor before school starts. And then her final follow up with Dr. Verre will be in January 2025.
Thank you for following along with us on this journey. We are so grateful for friends like you.
