We have good news!! All the test and lab reports are back. The EBV levels they saw last time came back undetectable. Liver numbers have stayed great without the immunosuppressant. The pathologists that studied the slides from the tonsils and andenoids said everything is fine. All this is good news. No more talk about appointments with oncologists. We are still doing weekly labs to watch liver numbers and to make sure nothing else shows up. There were some abnormal cells that the nurse mentioned, which sounds scary to me, but she said it isn’t something that they are concerned about right now. Honestly, I don’t really understand this part and it still feels stressful. I am hoping over vacation I will have time to talk to our nurse in Seattle to get a clear understanding of what abnormal cells are all about and any next steps for Sammy.
