Newest Update

Journal entry by Paula Capp

Update, Ryan had a week long break after his last phase of harsh treatment to let his counts slowly increase. After that week of relaxing, we went to Children’s Friday April 5th to have his blood counts checked, they were all good to start the next phase of Chemotherapy treatment. Intermittent maintenance phase two, he will undergo a few lumbar punctures along with his chemo meds and PT as he now has AFO braces to wear to help the process of getting his legs and ankles stronger. Of course he doesn’t like wearing them. Hopefully this phase will go smoother than the last phase we had and only lasts the  estimated time of 8 weeks.  I was also informed by the Drs. That during this phase of treatment he does have to OK to slowly get back into the school setting but I’m going to wait a week or so on that because of all the bugs going around still at the school. Bobby, Ryan and I did get the opportunity to go to my parents to have a nice celebration of Easter. My family also, with the help of a charity called BCE from the cities, wonderful family and friends that donated, along with the Rick at St. Cloud Toyota. We were honored to be able to purchase a new to us vehicle to more safely drive all the miles we drive to get to Minneapolis and back once or twice a week. Ryan was more excited than I was to get a safer vehicle that he named the Cappmobile. Thanks everyone once again for all the prayers and support that has been sent to our family. Prayers to each and everyone of you from us.
