Jeremy’s Story

Site created on August 9, 2023

Jeremy has spent his adult life and career as a missionary, investing his gifts in the church in Peru and, most recently, caring for missionaries who have been sent out from Orlando. For so many people he has been a gentle and caring person with whom to walk through difficult times.

Recently, Jeremy has been diagnosed with Stage 4 Pancreatic cancer.  This sudden news comes as a major shock and blow to the Ross family. We know that so many people have been blessed by this family and are eager to show them love as they walk through the unthinkable.

We hope that this website can be used to encourage the Rosses during this really difficult time.  We will be updating it frequently with needs that the family expresses, as well as family and health updates. Please feel free to add a comment on the site by clicking the "Well Wishes" link on the home page.  Thanks for being here!

Journal entry by Jeremy Ross

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11

Bella graduated from high school last Saturday! We are so grateful that God sustained Jeremy, and he was able to be part of the celebration. We had quite a crowd of friends and family that  came for the graduation.  This is Bella's favorite verse, and it reminds us of the hope and future that we have with the Lord. She is taking college classes here in Orlando in the fall and working towards her nursing degree. We are so proud of her and all her hard work to get to this point. Thanks for your prayers for all these details.

Jeremy is in his 14th round of treatment today. The Dr. was encouraged by his bloodwork and cancer markers that are holding steady. Jeremy is taking some time off treatment for Kayla's wedding in May. The Dr. said, "I will give you a hassle free month." That sounds really good to all of us. Please pray for Jeremy's treatment side effects, specifically neuropathy (numbness) and fatigue. Pray that he could recover quickly so he can enjoy all the wedding fun.
