It is with great sadness that I report that Ron’s lymphoma (blood cancer) is back. He is currently in the University of Washington Medical Center. About a month ago Rons routine labs showed some troubling values. We went to Fred Hutch Cancer Center 2 times a week for the next couple of weeks for labs. His numbers kept dropping and he got sicker. In the last 10 days he has been admitted to the hospital 3 times. He has had a bone marrow biopsy, ct scans, chest X-rays, MRI’s, ultra sound studies of his heart and extremities, multiple labs, a blood transfusion, a platelet transfusion and many trips to Seattle. Tonight he is having a PET Scan done and a PICC line put in so he can begin chemo this week.

I am starting to use this site again because with our five kids, his three siblings, in laws, nieces, nephews, my large family, and friends near and far, well there are only so many phone calls and texts one can do.  Things can change rapidly and I want the people who care about him to know the latest.

We don’t really know the prognosis but Ron has some fight in him.  We are hoping for a positive outcome.
