A midafternoon update because it is too exciting to wait! We found out today that Dad got approved for the request for his status to be upgraded to a Status 2. Although this is very exciting, it is a double edge sword because it means that other people who have only seen his case on paperwork agree how sick he is. This means that Dad will stay in the hospital until he gets transported - which by the way they told us that yesterday Dad's name popped up on a list as a possible receiver but he didn't have enough seniority at his previous stage.

This gives us hope that the opportunity will come soon! We met with a new team of caregivers and physicians today and Dad was cleared by the Infectious Disease doctor for surgery! They have Dad and us girls all on a pretty tight restrictions about masking and limiting visitors to only us so please respectfully know if one of us wears a mask or seems to hand sanitize or seems a "little germaphobic" it is only because Dad is really REALLY close to not having any immune system and we are so thankful for that!
