Update #14:

Been a long time friends and family, but happy to report nothing but good news. In fact, Rhonda received the best news to date, no cancer detected after her MRI last week. The MRI was intended to guide the last radiation treatment on her vertebrae, but the radiologist could not locate any cancer to treat. Excellent news! Even though no cancer was detected, they are still planning to radiate the vertebrae. Rhonda will have her 34th and final radiation treatment sometime soon (next week or soon thereafter). Rhonda has an appointment with her oncologist next week (Aug 3) and will begin taking a hormone blocker (pills), which will effectively prevent or block the hormones that likely caused the cancer from the beginning. The hormone pills will be a daily reminder of what she went through and will last the next five years, but again, this will prevent the cancer from returning. The last remaining task will be removing her port (used during chemo). I suspect the port removal topic will come up next week at her appointment with her oncologist.

Rhonda is finally singing that ole Cowsills tune (click here) and super pumped that all of her hair is arriving as it was. She currently has a hairdo that looks more Portland than Boise, and she thinks it resembles a Sleestak style (Coda and I think it looks cute J). I suggested dying her hair bronco blue with a touch of orange, but the idea was quickly rejected for good reason. Eyelashes? Yes! Eyebrows? Yes! Again, nothing but good news here!

Over the last month, we have had a number of visitors and Rhonda certainly appreciated the company. Thanks to everyone that stayed with us or stopped to visit. It was certainly nice to catch up and visit with you. As always, we thank you for your continued thoughts, prayers, and love! It has certainly been a crazy (almost) year full of unexpected and unfortunate events. These events certainly have a way of helping prioritize what is and what is not important in your life. We appreciate, now more than ever, what is truly important in life and a large part of that is each of you. Thank you so much for all of your support. I will check back again, after her last few appointments, and then we expect radio silence for at least the next five years!
