Phillip Wesley Newman passed away peacefully at his home in Huntsville, Alabama on June 22, 2020, after a year-long battle with cancer. He was 26 years old and had recently celebrated his fifth anniversary with his beloved wife, Ana Newman.

Phillip was born on February 12, 1994 in Huntsville, Alabama to parents Jeff and Susan Newman of Greenville, Kentucky. He was a beloved husband, son, brother, uncle, friend, and faithful servant of his King, Jesus Christ. Phillip attended Covenant College on top of Lookout Mountain, Georgia where he met his beloved wife. He returned to Huntsville, Alabama in order to complete nursing school and served as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department at Huntsville Hospital in Madison. His love for family, lingering hugs, and contagious smile will be impossible to replace until we join him in heaven one day.

Phillip is survived by his beloved wife Ana Newman of Harvest, Alabama; parents, Jeff and Susan Newman of Huntsville, Alabama; brothers, Nathan (Jess) Newman of Washington, D.C. and Thomas (Megan) Newman of Harvest, Alabama; nieces and nephews Addie, Eli, Olivia, Della, Philippa “Pippa,” Ellie, Hudson, Jack, Pete, Eli, Addie, Cora, Callie, and other loving family members.

A celebration of life service will be held at Providence Baptist Church in Huntsville, Alabama and streamed online at 11 a.m. central on June 26th at https://www.providencebaptist.us/live-stream— Nathan and Thomas Newman will officiate. Due to social distancing, the service will be limited to family and close friends. There will be a private graveside ceremony immediately following the service at Providence Baptist’s cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to a fund setup for Phillip’s wife Ana through their home church Valley Presbyterian (719 Hughes Road Madison, AL 35758).
