Journal
Radiation is behind us, other than mild headaches and fatigue Pete is continuing to gain strength. He finished his first round of oral chemo which was over 5 days. He has a break of 23 days and repeats this until the end of December.
He does an hour nap in the afternoon as this regime is also very tiring.
He is not experiencing any nausea, and is tolerating this better than expected.
Our challenge in the next 10-14 days will be the drop in white blood cells as well as platelets. He will be at risk for bleeding and infection. He takes a low dose antibiotic to prevent pneumonia which could be fatal per his oncologist.
We ask that no one with any infection of any kind visit due to his risk.
We are continuing to live life, spending free time in nature up north and will be out west with our kids and grandchildren this summer. Pete is always up for a card game, a visit, and maintains a great sense of humor. Please continue praying for us during this journey. Thankyou for the love and concern we have received through all of this❤️
