Journal entry by Angel Mistlebauer —
My mom had her post-op appointment today. The doctor informed her that there are still 2 tumors inside her that couldn't be removed during surgery. They are currently testing the cancer cells to determine which medication will be used in her chemo treatment. We're still waiting for the results, so they will wait another week before starting any chemo. Once she completes her three sessions of chemotherapy, she will need to undergo radiation. The reason for radiation is that there is a third spot in her abdomen that can only be treated with radiation.
We are praying that this will be the best and most effective treatment plan, and we all remain hopeful that she will pull through this.
