To all our dearest family and friends, 

We wanted to send you all an update regarding my dad’s situation. On Monday, he went in for a routine check up, and after receiving some concerning lab work, my dad was admitted to the hospital. He was presenting with high kidney levels, and while we all originally thought the levels were starting to normalize, on Thursday they took a turn for the worse and it was determined that his body was giving up the good and long hard fight that he’s fought for the last three years. 

My mom, Kati, Michael and I had to make the very hard decision to transition him into hospice care so that his pain and symptoms could be treated appropriately. He was transitioned yesterday and we are savoring these last moments with him through lots of hugs and tears and time with him. 

While we don’t know what these next couple of days bring, we wanted to share this news to all of those my dad loved dearly. He has had such a wonderful support system around him for these past few years and we are so thankful as a family for all of you.
