Sooooo very happy the day we have been waiting, hoping, and praying for has arrived! Paige was discharged today and we are on our way home at last! Thank you so much for all of your amazing support and while she has a ways to go still, we are comforted knowing this is “do-able” from home. The University of Utah Hospital Burn Unit will continue to follow her care and recovery for approximately one year via virtual visits and some in-person outpatient visits.
But just look at this amazing woman walking out of the hospital on her own and even packing her own stuff (of course we tried…). We know her strength and the amazing support from Mick, Camy, Tom, family, and friends will get her through the last leg of this journey.
Please give Paige and Mick a couple of days at home with Parker to rest and get into a routine before planning to visit. Thank you ALL once again for everything!
