Elizabeth Ann Hall Murphy, 39, passed away in her home in the early hours of January 20 after an eight year battle against brain cancer.  She was the beloved wife of Jared Murphy, devoted mother of Charlie and Ferrin Murphy, daughter of David and Jenny Hall, sister of Richard and Rebecca Hall, and guiding light of the Murphy-Love family.

Liz grew up in Swarthmore, Pennsylvania with her family and friends, and was educated at the University of Vermont. She spent many summers working at Cold River Camp in the White Mountains which was one of her favorite places throughout her life. In 2007, she went to Antarctica to work at McMurdo Station where she met her husband, Jared. Upon returning to the US, Liz and Jared, who had fallen madly, truly, and deeply in love, were married, and moved to Morrison, Colorado, where they raised their two perfectly beautiful children, Charlie and Ferrin. Liz loved spending time with her family and friends, homeschooling her children, traveling, adventuring, hiking, skiing, and tending to her garden, chickens, goats, and bees.

She was kind and generous, warm and gracious, smart and wise. She was funny, optimistic, and utterly courageous. She was a true inspiration.

Liz did not want a traditional funeral service but will be celebrated at home surrounded by family. She will be remembered and loved by all who knew her. We will continue a celebration of her life with a multitude of gatherings to come.
